ABOUT THE STRENGTH LAB

Seb Strength Lab is a scientific evidence-based coaching service made available to people from different walks of life who aim to embark into a sustainable lifestyle change through fitness and health regime. Guidance given by Coach Sebastian to all trainees includes mindset coaching, nutrition coaching, and physical exercise coaching.

A strong sense of community are established among the trainees in the Strength Lab as they inspire and empower each other to progress in their journey. The coach will assist you to make sustainable progress through small action steps, guide you how to make better choices when it comes to eating habits and training habits, and see gradual improvement in overall attitude towards fitness and quality of life. 

Coaching service is usually done physically in the gym in addition to the constantly available support by the coach through phone calls/messages to keep you accountable and comfortable throughout the journey. Online coaching service are also made available to those who preferred the said method. Check out more in our service.

ABOUT THE COACH

As a former health psychology researcher, Sebastian strongly believes  that our psychology plays a major role in better health and fitness. However,  coaching is essential to bridge the gap between the mind and body to achieve the fitness goals.

Sebastian's desire to help the general population at the frontline (instead of doing researches behind the scene) has driven him into a fitness career about 9 years ago. He started the fitness career in one of the country’s leading fitness company, was promoted to be the Health and Fitness Manager, and also was made a Master Trainer leading multiple instructor programs such as functional movement specialist and  the presenter of in-house group exercise program . 

In addition, he has coached more than 200 people to improve their fitness level and quality of life. He has also successfully taught over 150 certified personal trainers during his tenure in FITM/FEA as a fitness educator and also an American Council for Exercise (ACE) Master Instructor. He holds First Class Honors in Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology, Certified Personal Trainer (ACE), Health Coach (ACE), Rehab Trainer Essentials, Pain-free Performance Specialist (PPSC) and Precision Nutrition Coach (PN1).

With almost a decade worth of experience, Sebastian has successfully guided individuals from different background ranging from high school athletes, national athletes, corporate workers,  ministers, housewives, and the elderly. The core concept of the training is that " mastering foundational aspects bring you further in the fitness journey, not the fancy stuff." Being a non-dogmatic practitioner, Sebastian utilizes wholistic approach to help clients unlock their potential within based on their personal needs and wants. 

He is regularly quoted as a subject matter expert and educator in the topics including strength & conditioning, sustainable health & fitness training plan, and corrective exercises. Hence, he is often engaged by gyms to run fitness-related seminars, and also appears as guest speaker for talk-shows organized by gyms. Besides, he was also invited to write articles for the news and magazine as fitness advisor (namely the Star, and HealthToday). As he is also well sought after by many female individuals to build stronger and perkier glutes, there is even a trending hashtag #glutelabMY by his trainees on Instagram. Many of his trainees are also trainers/fitness instructors, as he is passionate in bring anyone who is willing to bring their health and fitness journey to the next phase.
